10 Dairy Free Treats + Snacks at Walt Disney World
Our oldest daughter has a severe dairy allergy so we are always on the hunt for snacks + treats she can safely have while still having fun. One tip for your time at the parks is to look for the little green leaf on the menus. That green leaf means it is plant based, which obviously means dairy free. It is a great easy button to make sure you are getting something safe. There are other options too for non-vegans but I wanted to mention the green leaf tip in case you are ever feeling overwhelmed. The chefs will always help you out with menu options and the cast members have the ability to look things up too. Don’t hesitate to ask.
Here are some of our dairy free favorites!
Pineapple Dole Whip Float at Magic Kingdom:
Dole Whip is a Disney staple, so it is really exciting that you can also enjoy this iconic treat dairy-free. Please note: not ALL the flavors available throughout the year are dairy free. Most of the fruit based flavors are. Sticking to pineapple (NOT twist) is one sure fire way to make sure you’re getting pineapple only.
Vegan Fish + Chips in the U.K. at Epcot:
Don’t write this off if you aren’t vegan because it is SO delicious. Our whole family of 7 loves these (even the meat lovers). We are so grateful for the vegan option to make sure the batter is dairy free!
Kakigori (shaved ice) in Japan at Epcot:
Shaved ice is so refreshing on a hot day! You can get it with any of the flavors, just say no to adding the cream. We like to get one and share it!
Mickey Pretzel basically anywhere and everywhere throughout the parks:
Im not sure you can go to Disney World and not get a Mickey pretzel. They are the best! Mickey Pretzels are available throughout the parks at different kiosks.
Cookies at Erin McKenna’s Bakery at Disney Springs:
Erin McKenna’s is such a find at Disney. Their entire menu is top allergen free. Can you believe that?! You will be able to walk in, and order anything you’d like. It truly is so special to experience when you have a child with food allergies. The cookies here are amazing!
Frozen Lemonade at Magic Kingdom:
Frozen. Lemonade. Say no more! There is a great option at Magic Kingdom and another one at Animal Kingdom. Plus, frozen lemonade cups at different locations, too.
Chocolate Mousse at Sunshine Terrace at Epcot:
This was a surprise find for us on one of our first trips! It is a rich, creamy chocolate mousse. Such a decadent treat! You can get this near Soarin’ + Living with the Land in Epcot.
Sorbet in France at Epcot:
At the locations in Epcot (currently one in France and one in Italy) there are dairy free sorbet options. The flavors change and we have always loved the choices!
Peter Pan Float (without the chocolate feather) at Magic Kingdom:
This treat is super fun! It’s a lime dole whip + Sprite float. Just order it without the chocolate feather :) You can get it near the Carousel at Storybook Treats.
Donuts + Cupcakes at Erin McKenna’s at Disney Springs:
Yes, I am mentioning Erin McKenna’s again! Don’t just stop at the cookies I mentioned earlier. Make sure to get cupcakes + donuts, too! You will NOT regret it.
I hope these ideas for dairy free treat + snacks are helpful on your next trip to Walt Disney World!
