One of my favorite parts about decorating a new house is picking out rugs! When we sold our last house, we sold it furnished (furniture, rugs, art, kitchen stuff, etc)…so I got to start fresh in this place!! Here are some of my favorites that I chose and some of my favorite from our last house too!

OUR BEDROOM:

LIVING SPACE:

One of my favorite things to do in larger areas is to layer rugs. I feel like it gives me the ability to bring in more color and texture. Plus I can get a less expensive rug that fills the whole space and spend more money on the rug that will be on top!

These two rugs are what I have in our current house. I love how it has a pop of blue which goes with our coastal farmhouse theme but that it is still pretty neutral.

These two are what I have in our house that we just sold! It was a little more bold in the blue accents and it went so well with the bright white space we had.

KIDS BEDROOMS:

I love all of these rugs so much! The white/pink rug is my favorite from the girls’ room. It also comes in grey and that is what they chose for our new place. It is so fluffy and holds up really well.

Blue themed in the boys’ room! The first one is what we had in our last place. I loved the play on water that it had. This house we went more of a neutral pattern and a brighter blue.

OFFICE:

I had to wait a bit longer to get this rug in and I am so glad that I did! I am obsessed with the pink in my office and it goes so well with my grey dining table that I use as a desk.

DINING:

In our dining space I actually got the exact same rug for this new house because of how well we liked it. It’s technically an indoor/outdoor rug and I was drawn to that because kids + a puppy + eating = messy. This is easy to clean. Durable. And it super soft and not what you would expect for an indoor/outdoor rug. I cannot say enough good things about this if you have a big family or little ones!
