DIY OCEAN INSPIRED OMBRE WALL

IMG_9260 2.JPG

When we moved in, I knew I wanted to do some fun painting projects. I started with Micah’s room and did an ocean inspired ombre wall!

I used 3 different colors of blue from Sherwin Williams : Atmospheric, Resolute Blue, + Secure Blue.

I started with the lightest section of paint and worked in rectangular sections of wall. I would get some wet paint on the wall and then use a dry brush to blend where the two colors met. I found that working in smaller sections of wall was easier or the paint got too dry to work with which meant blending the paint was harder.

To be honest, this project was easier than I expected and I am so pleased with how it turned out! I really want to find another area of our house to do this to!

And yes, I don’t use tape to edge in…I like to live dangerously ;) and i use my favorite ‘small spaces’ brush from sherwin williams and love it so much!

Happy painting!
